Peekskill First Friday Information for BID Members and Artists

Dear BID Members:

The BID, in cooperation with several downtown businesses, is continuing First Fridays. April’s theme is “Cherry Blossoms” and will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 5pm to 9pm.  The promotion is designed to get people to walk around downtown, stop in the galleries and storefronts, eat in the restaurants or grab a cup of coffee at any one of our fine downtown locations. We have many new residents who are anxious to meet their new neighbors.

We are encouraging all businesses to participate free of charge! Restaurants can offer cherry-themed drink specials, cherry-themed dessert specials or other wonderful creations based on the theme. See our newly created Facebook page, specifically designed to promote First Fridays and participating establishments – please list YOUR offerings here: facebook.com/groups/PeekskillFirstFriday – or visit for more information.

Additionally, we have First Friday postcards available for your shop or to distribute. Please let us know if you would like some.

If, as a business, you would like to be open and have an artist in your establishment for the night, please reach out to us at bidpeekskill@gmail.com. We will put you in touch with the Peekskill Arts Alliance to match you with an artist. If you are an Artist and would like to be teamed up with an establishment – let us know and we will help find an appropriate place for you to showcase your talents.

The BID has also re-launched its website, with a new calendar page option.  You can list your special events there, just by going to www.DiscoverPeekskill.com. Click on the Discover Events tab, and hit submit your event. Also, if you have not registered to be included in the business directory, please do so.
